This post is related to unprivileged children of Pakistan who aren't able to study because of Child Abuse and other related issues.
The literacy rate defines the condition of
any State itself. In Pakistan, the literacy rate is decreasing on yearly bases
and my heart literally cries when I go through these lamentable statistics. Our
most valued talent is wasted through Child abuse. Even with this deplorable
fact, the Pakistani Students have led in all competitions around the World.
This means every Pakistani student is treasured with valuable talent and loss
of even a single treasure will be a big loss to our country. Our children are
made to work in their early ages because their parents cannot afford to educate
them or their financial condition is so bad that it becomes impossible for them
to educate their children. The thirst of knowledge is much more greater in them
as compared to ourselves It is a fact and this has to be removed.
Umer Hafeez, one of my great friends came up with the
idea to educate this valuable and precious talent without any donations. That idea was to supply course books to university students of different faculties at a price which will be less than market price and the profit obtained through it will be invested in the education of those unprivileged children. With a certain plan, we took a step forward, made a team and tried to create awareness among people about this neglected issue through Social Media and by the Grace of God' the response has been supportive from every single person. We have named our page on Facebook as Books shack.
We do not want to fill our pockets with profits or to make some name or fame. The record of all our dealings, profits will be accessible to each and everyone who supports us or not.I therefore request to please go to our Facebook page, read the mission again and then support us. Furthermore I will request the University Students to provide us a chance by ordering their required books to Books Shack, so that we all together can serve OUR society. This will be an in-direct valuable support to us.
